Tile floors in the Caribbean

On a recent trip to the Caribbean, I was able to photo many nice cement tile floors. Here are a few photos of Mosaico Hidraulicos.

Great Little Book

I received my copy of the book "Havana Tiles" which comes with a CD of all the images in the book. It is put together just like a book by the same author "Barcelona Tiles". What Mario Arturo Hernandez Navarro has done is document many of the enchanting mosaico hidraulico tile designs in these two locations. Page after page of astonishing tile floors.

Bold, colorful tiles from the early 20th century still decorate homes and public buildings throughout Cuba. Havana Tile Designs contains many stunning examples of these tiles, digitized and included on the enclosed CD-Rom for use as a graphic resource or for inspiration.
